Who is VOICE ELP?
We are a volunteer-based English language program that aims to serve Adult ESL learners from all parts of the world. We strive to provide our adult learners with meaningful opportunities to practice and grow their English conversation skills in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Our classes are structured to:
Build Community - meet people from other parts of the world, from all walks of life! What brings sus together is our determination to learn and grow in American English, and to express our ideas and opinions in a safe and supportive environment.
Improve Your English - Grow your vocabulary, improve your listening and reading comprehension, and practice your grammar in a low-stakes environment.
Understand American Culture - Our teachers will help you explore American culture while reflecting on your own. We value everyone’s identities and foster a safe space where people can be themselves and connect across differences. Through film, literature, music, art, and more, you’ll engage with American culture and discuss ways to navigate it on your own terms.
At its core, this program values collaboration and community. While teaching the essentials of American English conversation, we also honor and integrate the diverse experiences and cultural perspectives that students bring to the classroom.
